DAA's Cork Airport Plans for 2025: A Passenger's Perspective

Hey everyone! So, I’ve been following the DAA’s (da Vinci Airports, that's their official name, not some random acronym!) plans for Cork Airport in 2025 pretty closely, because, well, I love to travel, and Cork is my home airport. I've even had some interesting experiences getting in and out of there over the years!

This means possibly better online check-in options, possibly more self-service kiosks, and hopefully more efficient use of technology to improve the passenger experience. All those words sound great in an official report, I know. We’ll see what they do!

My (slightly cynical) take on all this:

Look, I'm cautiously optimistic. These improvements sound fantastic on paper. Less stress, more efficient processes, more flights…who wouldn’t want that? But, we've heard promises before.

The DAA needs to deliver. They need to make sure that all these improvements translate into a smoother, less stressful airport experience. Otherwise, the increased passenger numbers are just going to lead to even longer lines and greater chaos. I’m keeping my fingers crossed, and already bought earplugs in case the terminals become even more bustling.
