Lesson learned #3: Check your pipes! Frozen pipes are a real threat during a winter storm. Luckily mine survived, but I’ve learned how important it is to protect them.

The power came back on after a few nerve-wracking hours. Honestly, I felt like I’d gone through a mini-apocalypse. But hey, there’s a silver lining to everything. And that silver lining?
