• Pack the night before: I know, I know, we all procrastinate. But packing the night before is a major stress reliever. I know I'm saying things that most of us know, but it really does make a difference.

• Check your flight status: A simple check can save you a lot of heartache. You can also download airline apps that will send you notifications.

• Breathe and stay calm. You don't want to become a total hot mess like I did. This is actually very helpful in situations like this. I learned it from a yoga class.
