Pickering Oshawa Snow Squall Thursday: A Day I'll Never Forget (and How to Prepare for the Next One!)

Okay, so Thursday. Remember Thursday? That Thursday? The one with the snow squall that basically shut down the entire Pickering-Oshawa area? Yeah, that Thursday. Let me tell you, it was a doozy. I mean, I've seen snow. I've lived in this area for, like, ever. But this? This was next level.

The Blizzard of '23 (Okay, Maybe Not That Bad, But Still Pretty Intense)

I even keep a bag of kitty litter in my trunk for extra traction if I get stuck. Don't laugh; it works!
• Plan for delays: If there's a snow squall warning, give yourself extra time to get where you're going. This sounds obvious, but when roads are bad, you need to add a considerable amount of time to your normal commute.
• Avoid unnecessary travel: If you can work from home, do it. If you don't have to go out, don't. Seriously. Stay home and stay safe.
