Post Malone's Oreo Collab: A Fun Day, But Was It Worth the Hype?

Okay, so, Post Malone and Oreos. Right? Giant collab. I had to try them. I mean, who doesn't love Oreos? And Post Malone? Dude's got that whole chill vibe. I figured this had to be the perfect afternoon snack, right? Wrong. Well, kinda. Let me explain...

First off, let's talk about the packaging. It's sick. Seriously, the design is awesome. That's where they nailed it for me. Posty's face, kinda faded and cool, on this dark background – super stylish. I kept the package, honestly. It’s way too cool to throw away! Even my kids loved it. Totally Instagrammable.

But then... the cookies themselves. This is where things get… interesting.

<h3>The Taste Test: A Mixed Bag</h3>

The cookies themselves? They're... different. The "Stoney's Strawberry" flavor, was supposed to be this crazy strawberry milkshake thing. I’m not entirely sure I got the milkshake part, but they definitely had a strawberry artificial taste. It wasn’t bad, not exactly. But it wasn't mind-blowing either. My wife thought they were okay, but my 10-year-old thought they tasted like… well, he couldn’t place it.

I will say this – the color was spot on. That bright, almost neon pink filling? Accurate to the marketing. And the actual cookie itself? Standard Oreo crunch, which I appreciate. Nothing to write home about, but not a bad thing. I mean, that classic Oreo crunch is iconic.

We also tried the "Post Malone's Birthday Cake" Oreos. These promised this awesome birthday cake flavor. And I was pretty psyched, because who doesn’t like birthday cake? The truth was though, it wasn’t quite as magical as I had hoped. It was slightly artificial tasting again, a hint of cake, not a full-on party in my mouth like I wanted.

Pro-Tip: Pair these with some cold milk! The milk cuts some of the artificial flavor and mellows things out.

<h3>The Verdict: Would I Buy Them Again?</h3>

Honestly? Probably not. The hype was real, but the cookies themselves didn't quite live up to the expectations. I've had way more delicious limited edition Oreos in the past. This was a fun experience, don't get me wrong! I had a whole fun afternoon with the family and we were able to have some laughs and bond over some new flavors.

However, if you’re a huge Post Malone fan, or you’re just a collector of limited-edition treats, then go for it. It's a cool novelty item, and the packaging alone makes it worth it for some people, including me.

But if you're hoping for an incredible taste sensation, you might be slightly disappointed. I’d give these a 6/10 purely because of the packaging and the fun my family had trying these unique flavors.
