Racially Hostile? Lansing's Response: A City Grappling with its Past

Okay, so, Lansing. Beautiful city, right? Lots of history, cool parks… but, man, the history part isn't always pretty. My "Aha!" Moment (or, When I Finally Got it)

• Support local initiatives: Find organizations working towards racial justice and donate your time or money. Even a small contribution can make a huge difference.
• Call out racism: When you see it, say something. It's uncomfortable, I know. But silence is complicity.
• Vote: Local elections matter. Choose leaders committed to creating a more equitable and just Lansing.

Lansing's journey toward racial harmony is far from over. There will be setbacks, frustrations, and moments where you feel like giving up. But it's a journey worth fighting for.
