New Galaxy S25: Evolved AI at AT&T – My Totally Honest Review

Okay, folks, let's talk about the new Galaxy S25. I got my hands on one through AT&T, and lemme tell ya, it's been a wild ride. I've been a Samsung fanboy for years, but this phone… this phone is something else. Especially the AI stuff. It's next level.

The AI is Seriously Smart (Most of the Time)

First off, the AI-powered camera. Wow. Just… wow. I'm not a professional photographer, but even I can take amazing shots. The detail is insane, and the low-light performance? Forget about it. It's like having a mini-studio in my pocket. Seriously, I've been showing off pics of my cat, Mr. Fluffernutter, to everyone. He's never looked so good.

But there were a few hiccups. Remember that time I tried to use the AI to remove a distracting streetlight from a picture of my daughter at the park? Yeah, it kinda messed up her hair instead. It’s still learning, I guess. 😂

Bixby, My Digital Sidekick (Sometimes)

Bixby, Samsung's AI assistant, is another big deal. I've been using voice assistants for ages, and Bixby is, dare I say, pretty darn good. Setting reminders, sending texts, even controlling my smart home devices – it handles most things effortlessly.

However, I did have one instance where it completely misinterpreted my request to order pizza. I ended up with five extra-large pepperoni pizzas when I only wanted one. Lesson learned: Be super clear and concise when talking to Bixby. Avoid slang. It can't handle "hangry" as well as it handles "hungry."

Tip: Speak clearly and use simple commands when interacting with Bixby. Test the function in a quiet environment to make sure it understands you correctly.

The Speed is Unreal. Seriously.

The processing power of this phone is insane. I’ve never seen anything like it. I used to have this older phone that constantly froze and lagged. The S25 is a total game changer. Switching between apps is lightning-fast. And gaming? Smooth as butter.

Tip: Make sure you have enough storage space. You'll be taking so many awesome pictures and videos, that you’ll need it!

AT&T Service and 5G

I got my S25 through AT&T, and the 5G connection has been a dream. I've been able to stream high-definition video flawlessly, even in areas with notoriously spotty cell service. Streaming on this phone is totally boss.

Overall, a Winner (Mostly)

Would I recommend the Galaxy S25? Absolutely. Yes, it has a few minor quirks. The AI isn't perfect yet. It’s still got some growing to do. It could get better with updates, maybe in S26. But the overall performance, camera quality, and speed are phenomenal. And the AI features are cool, even with the occasional screw-up. They’re improving all the time! If you're on the fence, just go for it. You won't regret it – unless you order five extra-large pizzas by accident. 😅
